Gathering Magic
“There are many paths to success. Countless variables, factors, and inputs. But among all the unique differences, two constants hold: curiosity and persistence. Both are necessary and in equal amounts…
The stories you tell ought to arise out of everything you find most interesting, exciting, and moving. Otherwise, why bother?” —Christopher Paolini
Join us for this collection of all-teen stories, where each one is filled with its own kind of magic and wonder. We hope you’ll enjoy the ride!
Heroes & Villians!
“…what is a villain if not the hero of their own story?” —Charlie N. Holmberg, The Paper Magician
Heroes, heroines, villains, anti-heroes: all great characters are rooted in our own desires for good or evil, and each character begins with a moment that defines them, whether it’s a superhero origin story or a villain’s downfall.
These stories will make you fall in love with heroes and villains alike in this epic, all-teen short story collection.
Level Up
“There are so many lessons to learn from gaming. So many ways to ‘level up’. And, dear writer, you’re already putting those patterns into practice…” —Dustin Hansen, Game On!: Video Game History from Pong and Pac-Man to Mario, Minecraft, and More
Even if you don’t play video games, anything worth doing in life always requires “leveling up.” Want your blackbelt in karate? You’ve got to level up. Want to be at the top of your class in school? Level up. Want to be a better human being who changes the world? Take one step at a time, and always be leveling up.
Change the World
“Small efforts multiply into great efforts. Doors open all of the time, but you simply have to have the gumption and faith to step toward them, raise your fist, and knock.”
Fiction is our vehicle for learning what it’s like to be another person, feeling empathy, and experiencing realities beyond our own. Stories change the world in their own way, and so do their heroes and heroines, accomplishing death-defying feats, life-altering journeys, and fighting for good against evil.
